Did Someone Say Root Beer Float?

It’s National Root Beer Float Day on August 6 and we can’t wait! While there is a dedicated day, there’s nothing stopping you from indulging in some seriously good float action any time there’s Bundaberg Root Beer on the table.

With complex flavors of sarsaparilla, licorice and ginger root combined with the richness of molasses and a touch of vanilla, the depth of flavor found in a Bundaberg Root Beer works deliciously well with the creaminess of a good vanilla ice-cream.

Of course a straight up float with your favorite premium ice-cream is tough to beat. But if you’re seeking a more adult indulgence, then below are a few twists on the traditional root beer float recipe to try.

Traditional Root Beer Float Recipe

  • 1 bottle (12oz) Bundaberg Root Beer
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Scoop ice cream into your favorite tall glass (bonus points for chilling the glass first), open your Root Beer and carefully pour over ice cream. Grab a spoon and dig in!
