How to make an Irish Mule for St Patrick’s Day

The Irish Mule may sound complicated but it is a easy recipe you can whip up at home as part of your St Patrick’s Day festivities. The ingredients are essentials that you should already have, but if you don’t there’s only 4 which makes shopping a breeze!


  • 2oz Irish Whiskey
  • 6oz Bundaberg Ginger Beer
  • 0.5oz Lime juice (or fresh squeeze 1/2 a lime)
  • 2 x Small pieces of ginger
  • Extra Lime wedge/ wheel and mint to garnish (optional)

Step 1:
Muddle ginger then combine whiskey and lime juice into shaker

Step 2:
Shake, then strain into a copper mug filled 2/3 with ice and top with Bundaberg Ginger Beer

Step 3:
Garnish with lime and mint
