Method:
In a large bowl, place meat, 1/4 cup of Ginger Beer, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, 1/2 tsp of salt and pepper. Mix together until everything is combined well. Divide mixture into 4 pieces and form patties. Fry or grill burgers for 6 to 7 minutes each side until cooked through. To prepare mushrooms and onions, heat butter or margarine in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onions and stir frequently until onions begin to soften. Add sugar and continue to stir. Add mushrooms and saute' for a few minutes. Add remaining Ginger Beer and 1/2 tsp of salt. Simmer on low for about 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Serve burger topped with mushrooms and onions.

Method:
Beat the egg lightly with a whisk. Beat in the ginger beer, then add the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth. Cover and let stand for 25 to 30 minutes before using. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthways. Heat oil in 10 inch skillet over medium-high heat until oil reaches desired temperature. Using tongs to hold chicken strips, dip in batter; allow excess to drip off. Remove and carefully lower, one by one, into the hot oil. After about 1 minute, turn the strips. Continue to turn the strips occasionally until they are golden, cooking for a total of 4 to 6 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel lined tray. Pat more towels on top to absorb excess oil. Serve immediately with aioli or sweet chili sauce.

Put approximately 2 cups of crushed ice into a blender. Add Cointreau, fruits, lemon juice and orange juice. Blend. With machine on, pour one half of the Lemon Lime and Bitters and reserve the other half for serving. Comments:
When adding the Lemon Lime and Bitters at the end, the bubbles should rise through the blended juices creating the smoothie effect. |
